We raised over €3000 for a Community Defibrillator!

We like to fundraise for good causes in our school. This year, we decided to raise money to install a community defibrillator outside our school. We held a huge school Bake Sale on Friday 17th March and we've also being selling our very own Kyle Park Recipe Books.
Well done to Ms Collison and the Wellbeing Committee for all their hard work on this. Many thanks to the pupils, staff, parents and community for all their help and support.

Peace Proms

On Saturday 7th March, 3rd - 6th classes joined school children from all over the country in the University of Limerick, to take part in the 2026 Peace Proms.
Everyone had an amazing day performing for their families. As always, the children did themselves proud. Even the parents showed off some of their dancing skills!
Well done to Ms Seymour for all her fantastic work getting the children ready for the big day.

St. Brigid's Day

We didn't forget Saint Brigid this year and we were lucky enough to learn how to make St. Brigid's crosses. They're trickier than they look, but we had lots of fun helping each other. Many thanks to the older children who helped out in the Junior and Senior Infant classroom!

Grandparents Day

We really enjoyed Grandparents Day in school. We loved sharing our songs, poems and writing with them. But most of all, we loved chatting and playing games with our grandparents in our classrooms.
What special memories to treasure forever.

Baking with Ms Collison

We all know Ms Collison loves to bake and she treated us to an afternoon of baking last week. We made yummy scones. We all learned how to measure out the ingredients and mix them in the correct way. We used our new school oven to bake them and of course, we enjoyed eating them at the end of the day. Lots of learning and a treat at the end!

Cinderella Panto

As part of our Creative Schools project, the children chose to go to the theatre. So, we were thrilled to head off to the Panto in Limerick, to see Cinderella escape the clutches of her two sisters! We even had our own sing song on the way. It was such a treat for the whole school, including the staff!

St. Brendan the Navigator Drama

Ms Seymour's Senior classes treated us to a drama about St. Brendan's voyage to the Island of the Blessed. They did a great job. Well done everyone! Thanks for sharing what you learned.

Halloween 2025

Everyone made a fantastic effort dressing up for Halloween and there were lots of spooky and not so scary characters around. The Wellbeing Committee organised lots of games and treats for us. Thanks to Ms Seymour and the team for adding so much fun to our day.

Liam McCarthy Cup Visit

We were thrilled when Tipperary Senior hurlers Andrew Ormond and Joe Fogarty visited the school along with Pio Kennedy, Games Development Officer. They brought the Liam McCarthy and JJ Kenneally cups with them. We sang them our version of The Broad Majestic Shannon and they answered our questions. We are very lucky to have seen the Liam McCarthy Cup and to speak to some of our heroes.

Tennis with Kieran

We recently finished up our tennis sessions, which are great fun. Tennis helps to develop our Fundamental Movement skills as well as keeping us fit and active.

Baking with Mrs Hogan

Mrs Hogan shared some of her fantastic baking skills with Rang 3. We had great fun making ghost meringues just in time for Halloween and we even shared some with the teachers!

Creative Schools Term 1

Joanna, from Creative Schools, got us started on our Clay Projects in September. We made everything from pinch pots to personalised crests. We are learning how to handle the clay, to manipulate it and then to paint it using the correct methods.

Maths Power Hour

Maths Power is one of the best hours of the week. We work in small groups and move to different stations. Each teacher does different Maths activities with us, based on what we are learning and on problem solving. It's so much fun and we are learning so much.

National Spring Clean

AS part of World Earth Day, we held our Spring Clean and did a tidy up of the school grounds. The Green Schools Committee, along with two other children from each class, went into Borrisokane to do some litter picking.
We also tried to reduce our energy use, by turning off all the lights and interactive whiteboards for the day. We will measure the energy we saved as part of our green schools actions.
